What is GPA in SEE Nepal? ▼
GPA stands for Grade Point Average. In SEE (Secondary Education Examination) Nepal, NEB uses a 4.0 GPA scale. Your overall GPA is the average of your GPA in all subjects. A GPA of 4.0 (A+) is the highest possible score.
What is the minimum GPA to pass SEE? ▼
You need at least a Grade C (GPA 2.0, i.e. 40% or above) in every subject to pass SEE. If you score below 40% in even one subject, you are considered to have failed that subject and must appear in the back exam (grade upgrade exam).
How is SEE GPA calculated? ▼
Your SEE GPA is calculated by finding the average of GPA points from all subjects. Each subject's GPA is determined by the percentage you scored (using NEB's grading table). The overall GPA = Sum of all subject GPAs ÷ Number of subjects.
What GPA do I need for a good +2 college? ▼
Top +2 colleges in Nepal generally require a GPA of 3.2 (B+) to 3.6 (A) or above for competitive Science and Management streams. Government quota seats may require higher. For general streams, a GPA of 2.4 to 2.8 is usually sufficient.
Can I use this calculator before official SEE results? ▼
Yes! This SEE GPA calculator is perfect for estimating your result before official marks come out. Use your expected marks or marks from school tests to predict your GPA. Note that the official result from NEB is final.
What is the difference between GPA and percentage in SEE? ▼
GPA is a point scale (0.8 to 4.0) used by NEB in the official SEE result. Percentage is the raw score out of 100. NEB primarily reports results in GPA and grade, but you can convert GPA back to approximate percentage using the grading table above. Use our
